So, what is FUN?
FUN (Fiber User Network) is an acronym that we developed to easily identify our Fiber to the Home (FTTH) service. Fiber to the home replaces the need for a copper phone line or coax cable service and will soon become the new standard throughout the country.
Does a Fiber Connection replace both phone and cable?
Yes it does. 1 fiber optic strand can carry up to 1000 times more information as copper or coax cable. This leaves the door wide open for future services such as HD movie downloads and full-screen video conferencing.
How does this benefit me?
RTC will now be able to now deliver crisp, clear High Definition television programming over our FUN network. Internet speeds will also be significantly increased up to 200x faster than dial-up with potential to be much, much faster. Your internet connection will be a dedicated connection that is not shared with your neighbors like cable. We will also offer home phone service and home security all over one single strand of fiber to your home. Choose the package that's best for you!
